Riding for Children of the Blair E. Batson Hospital

Each year, the Mississippi Charity Horse Show holds a three day show event. Proceeds from this event always benefit a worthy charity. This year, the Mississippi Charity Horse Show is honored to be the sponsor of the Blair E. Batson Hospital for Children.

The Blair E. Batson Hospital for Children is the only hospital in the state that specializes in the care of sick or injured children. This hospital has the states only Level 1 emergency/trauma unit for children and the only Level III neonatal intensive care unit for infants. It is located at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi.

The hospital treats over 150,000 children each year from all over the state. The hospital staff cares for children who have been diagnosed with illnesses ranging from cancer, birth defects, epilepsy, cystic fibrosis, sickle cell anemia, neurological disorders, pulmonary disease, trauma, allergies, diabetes and numerous other childhood illnesses.

For the past several years, the Mississippi Charity Horse Show has sponsored the Blair E. Batson Hospital for Children and has helped to raise thousands of dollars for this hospital. The money raised from this show helps provide care, staff training for treatments and cures, lifesaving equipment, medicine, and more for the children. The services that this hospital provides cannot be done anywhere else in the state.
